Okay – so we’re in a virtual coffee shop so let’s talk coffee shop. I’m not a Starbucks customer so I’m wondering about a commerical I saw tonight. It showed an iced drink that appeared to be coffee based. Have they had this for long? Is this to compete directly against the Iced Cap? (Which I have tried and don’t like so I won’t be trying the Starbucks version either so don’t bother trying to convince me)

Iced coffee has been around as long as I can remember. I think it has been around longer that iced cap. My opinion is that Starbucks version is better.

I like Starbucksonly when i go into Chapters bookstore but all I’ve tried is their ordinary coffee and once….the salty caramel thing with whip cream. i came home and made the same thing for myself and now i’m over it. i imagine the ice coffee has been around for ages.

I’ve been to Starbucks twice – once had coffee that was way too bitter for me and the second time had apple cider to die for but was overpriced when I saw him pour in Allen’s apple juice from a 99c can. Okay – I’m cheap! I like straight up coffee most of the time – 1 milk, 2 sugars please.

Starbucks to me is the hight of consumer-whore-ism.. I’ll admit that a certain “status” comes along with the white cup, and that the story behind the mermaid on the logo is interesting, but I agree with you.. the normal bold coffee is gut-rot in a cup. The Chai Tea Latte, however.. I am in love with.

That does sound good – never tried doing it myself. Any tips?
